Project: Survey of storm water lines in Paide

Contracting entity: Paide City Government

This project involved carrying out a survey of storm water lines in the city of Paide. In the course of work, we determined catchment areas for storm water pipelines (existing, designed and planned) in Paide. The catchment areas were chosen according to receiving water bodies, taking into account existing and new potential receiving water bodies. The storm water model helped to establish critical areas with recurrent floods, and insufficiently dimensioned pipelines and sections of pipelines which will be pressurised for a certain period of time during strong downpours. By changing data in the model (pipe diameters, new artificial recipients), we found a solution for the whole city to ensure the functioning of systems and the drainage of storm water from paved surfaces to ditches and rivers.
